Opened back during British rule in 1872 and formerly known as Manduadih Railway Station is one of the oldest railway junctions of Northern Railways of India. It is known for its connectivity with several parts of the country. It is located in the Manduadih area of Varanasi District and is also known as Varanasi Cantonment Railway Station or Banaras Railway Station.
