Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is one of the Prime Minister’s multipurpose projects built in Varanasi. The foundation stone of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor was laid by the Indian Prime Minister in 2019, and the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor was fully completed in 2021.
Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is a corridor about 400 meters long that is spread over 39 thousand square meters. This corridor connects Kashi Vishwanath Temple to Lalita Ghat in the River Ganges. With the help of this corridor, the darshan of Kashi Vishwanath Temple will now be possible in a very short time.

Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is located between the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ganga Ghat in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Details
Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is constructed of red stone. Apart from this, the corridor is constructed in a traditional craft style. Kashi Vishwanath Corridor is mainly constructed of white marble and pink Chunar stone. Therefore, it looks very beautiful. Apart from this, the entire corridor is divided into three main parts. 60 ancient temples have also been discovered under the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. These temples have been renovated and preserved but no changes have been made to their original structures. Out of these discovered temples, two are very ancient temples, which are also described in Skanda Purana. This Parikrama Marg has been decorated with very beautiful carvings. Apart from this, a Parikrama Marg has been built around the temple in the corridor. 24 buildings have been built inside the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which include 3 passenger facilities centres, a tourist facilities centre, a city museum, a Varanasi gallery, Mumuksh Bhawan etc. The corridor has four main gates and a Pradakshina Path on which 22 marble inscriptions have been built. The glory of Kashi has been described in these inscriptions.
During the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, special care has been taken to maintain greenery in the corridor. For this, Rudraksh, Belpatra, Parijat, Banyan, and Ashoka trees have been planted in the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which enhances the beauty of the corridor.
Kashi Vishwanath Corridor has been constructed mainly so that the visiting tourists do not have to pass through narrow streets to go to Kashi Vishwanath temple. Tourists visiting Kashi Vishwanath temple can reach Kashi Vishwanath temple directly through the corridor from the ghat after bathing in the Ganga.

By flight – Kashi Vishwanath Corridor can be easily reached by landing at Varanasi Airport. The distance of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor from Varanasi Airport is 25 kilometers.
By train – Kashi Vishwanath Corridor can be easily reached by landing at Kashi Railway Station. The distance of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor from Kashi Railway Station is 2 kilometers.

The temple has been revived through the Vishwanath Corridor in Kashi. It is to be developed in several phases, out of which the first and second phases have been completed and the final phase is underway, in which Manikarnika Ghat is also being redeveloped.
